Old Man Works Out
Okay, I know it's a funny picture to imagine. An old man working out? But I'm not an "old man" yet, although I am OldManRivers.
It's crazy how mysterious kexe7nek siyam works. I was originaly wanting to be in normal P.E but in order to take Film And Television 11/12 I had to take P.E Conditioning. Instead of playing "games" and the alike, I'll be doing actualy work outs. This means OldMan will be getting fit ladies and gentlemen. That also means (for you ladies) OldMan will have a very sexy bod. ;) I'm really glad I ended up in this class because I was originaly wanting to start working out anyway. This way I can moniter my improvment and really watch myself. It'll give me a chance to start working out extencivly and progress.
But yesterday was our first day. We did the 12 minute run and I did "not bad". I completed exactly 5 laps around the field. Again, the problem of my, so called, "cramps" came into play around the 2nd lap. It hurts like hell but this time it wasn't as bad. I was actualy surprised I made it around 2 laps without stoping. I've never done that before. But I was O.K with my turn out. I will want to continue doing walks and such but this was not that bad of a work out.
But today, was some more testing. We did our "warm up". My teacher said "you should be sweating by the end of this or on the verge of sweating". I thought "ya okay whatever" but to my surpirse I was sweating and muscles were slightly sore. Was crazy. I couldn't believe what was hurting and what I stretched. (For you Choices Junkies, this was actualy a "stretch" but in two different ways) It was a great warm up and I know I'll get beter over time. Then the next thing we did is go out to the field and do push ups. I compelted a big "two". Yes, that is not a spelling mistake, I completed two push ups. Not that bad but still pretty bad. I did more but it was a problem of my hips and touching the fist. The teacher got our partners to put a fist under our chest to make sure we did it properly. I completed two. Then the next was sit ups. I did 21. Not bad, thought I could do more but it was a little tough. Need stronger abs. The next thing we did was this weird leg sitting thing. We went to the bleachers and had one partner count while the other did the exsersise. I had to keep my right leg off the ground and sit up and down on the bleachers for 60 seconds. 10 second break then another 60 seconds with the other leg. What was funny is I did 2 with my left leg and 30 with my right. Again, I was having trouble. I did more then 2 but I kept on touching the ground and everything. The more consecutive I completed was 2 but I did about 15 in total. The 30 was alot easyer, (partly due to me lifting my leg higher off the ground) but I seem to have a strong right left anyways. Next thing was our practicing for the 40 yrd sprint. Now this is a big thing for me as I came in 1st the last time I did this. I never trained or ran or did any exsersise what-so-ever before I did but I came up with 4.4 seconds. This time he showed us how to start so I figure I can do better, hopefully. I am hoping to do the best again. We shall see tomorrow.
All in all, I'm glad I'm in this class as I get to train to be more fit. Strong more versitile OldManRivers right?
